Soto Reflects On The Subject Of:
Reconciliation .... [Part V]
I hate no one. I love my enemies as I do my friends. I pray for those who
persecute me. I share the hope I have in Jesus Christ, that through His shed
blood on the cross I have been reconciled to God. In view of this message, I now
can share the same message to others, but not without the cross. I have forgiven
all who persecuted me. I have forgiven all who misunderstood me. I have forgiven
all who left our church because of our Native ministry. God has blessed us
tremendously. The church is growing again, but this time with the people God
wants here, that support Native ministry and who are mostly Native themselves.
Christians who tried to destroy what God so clearly directed me to do are slowly
coming to us and asking forgiveness. It is all because of this great ministry of
reconciliation that comes through the finished work on the cross by my Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ that I can forgive those who hurt me, our church, and my
family.
Blessings upon you and through our Lord Jesus.

T H E - J E S U S
- W A Y - COMES - WITH - POWER!
When Jesus began walking
among the tribes of his day, he taught the people many things. But the core of
his message was the good news that the Creator was bringing his kingdom to
earth. This meant that the devil and all the evil spirits that followed him were
in trouble! They were about to see that their strength was weak compared to the
Creator's awesome power:
Dear children, don't let anyone lead you down the wrong path. Those who do what
is right are holy, just as Christ is holy. Those who do what is sinful belong to
the devil. They are just like him. He has been sinning from the beginning. But
the Son of God came to destroy the devil's work.
1 JOHN 3:7-8
And Jesus Christ, the Son
of God, began to do just that. He healed people to take away the pain of the
devil's sickness. He taught people the Creator's truth to expose the devil's
lies. And because Jesus loved Native--and all--people so much, he even allied
himself to be killed. But he rose again to take away the devil's accusations
against the people. This is the power in the Jesus Way. This is the power that
transforms death into life.
When Jesus confronted evil spirits, they knew he was able to destroy them.
Look at what happened:
Just then a man . . . cried out. He was controlled by an evil spirit. He said,
"What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you are. You are the Holy One of God! Be quiet!… said
Jesus firmly. "Come out of him! …The evil spirit shook the man
wildly. Then it came out of him with a scream. All the people were amazed. So
they asked each other, "What is this? A new teaching! And with so
much authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits, and they obey
him." MARK 1:23-27
When Jesus came to earth he defeated the evil spirits. He threw them out
of people. He gave the spirits orders and they had to obey. So in
the Jesus Way, there is no more fear of curses. Through Jesus, the
Creator's Way of peace and beauty can come to you in power.
"He took away the weapons of the powers and authorities. He made a
public show of them. He won the battles over them by dying on the cross."
COLOSSIANS 2:15
When Jesus died on the cross, it looked like the ultimate victory for his
enemies. But this was actually a great surprise by the Creator. By
taking the pain and suffering caused by evil onto himself, Jesus drained the
devil, and his spirits of their power. And when Jesus came again he will
destroy these enemies forever.
Jesus? death on the cross also drained the power of sin over our lives. Jesus
took away the penalty of sin for peoples all over the world. Then he rose
again so all these peoples could have a new life.
"By the power of the Holy Spirit, he was appointed to be the mighty Son of
God because he rose from the dead. He is Jesus Christ our Lord."
ROMANS 1:4
Today, Jesus can bring this life-giving power into your life. He will
bring you freedom from fear. You no longer have to be afraid of the
spirits. His love for you is stronger than any curse.
Jesus will help you find purpose in your life. He will bring you into his
kingdom. He will even defeat the power of darkness inside your life and
change you from within. To all who receive him, Jesus will do this.
Jesus came to make a difference. Through the Jesus Way, your life can be
changed. Jesus alone has the power to do this.
Now it is clear what your choice is. Now is the time to learn this road of
the Jesus Way and to never depart from it.
